Security Beefed Up At Mathura’s Krishna Janmasthan Complex After Attack At Gorakhnath Temple

New Delhi: A day after an attack on the security personnel of Gorakhnath temple, the security of the Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple complex and other religious places in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura has been strengthened.

On Monday evening, Additional Director General of Police (Security) Vinod Kumar Singh took stock of the security arrangements of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. After that, he also went to the Dwarkadhish temple.

Today, the standing committee held a meeting with the officials regarding the security arrangements and police also launched a checking campaign across the district.

Intelligence has also been activated in mixed population areas. Railway stations, bus stands, hotels and guest houses are also being checked. The suspects are being thoroughly interrogated.

The security system at Shri Krishna’s birthplace and Shahi Idgah in Mathura are divided into three zones. Both the religious places are in the Red Zone and the outside area is in the Yellow Zone. While the rest of the cities are in the Green Zone. Apart from paramilitary forces, the deployment of Uttar Pradesh Police personnel, intelligence department, fire brigade etc. is also present there.

There have been many new revelations in the case of the attack on security personnel near Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur. In the investigation, it has come to the fore that the attacker had recently also gone to Nepal. The police have also found many suspicious documents from him.
