Delhi is all set to host G-20 Summit in Pragati Maidan. Many foreign delegates have arrived in the National Capital to attend the meeting. On the occasion, schools, colleges, bank and other commercial establishments have asked to remain close to decongest roads for the Summit. All educational institutions will now reopen from Monday.

The Department of Education of the Delhi government has already requested that schools will observe September 8 as holiday for both students and employees. The Delhi government has also given instructions to the workers of the education department to remain in the city for these four days in case more staff is needed for the G20 summit.

Over 40 world leaders are expected to be part of the summit in New Delhi, where preparations are in full swing to host foreign dignitaries. The G20 Summit will take place on September 9 and 10 at the recently constructed Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, a world-class conference and exhibition facility.

The Delhi administration claimed that all G20 Summit preparations were complete and that the national capital was now ready to welcome visitors from around the world. The top 20 economies in the world are likely to send delegations to India. The list of world leaders and delegates includes US Vice President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French President Emmanuel Macron, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and others.

Chinese President Xi Jingping and Russian Vladimir Putin will not attend the Summit and will send their representatives.

Locations like Dilli Haat, Chandni Chowk, Khan Market, Connaught Place, and Malcha Marg Market are likely to have high security. 26 routes are mentioned in the MCD statement as needing special attention, including Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Sachivalaya Road, Purana Quila Road, Lodhi Road, Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Marg, and Suraj Kund Road, and Mahatma Gandhi Road.
