Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has targeted Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. He said that the dignity of the governor has been lost in the state. We are not ready to accept him as the governor. He is just a BJP worker.
The governor should be fair and should show dignity in his words. But our governors give statements on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule and Savitribai Phule. They have made fun of Maharashtra.
In fact, on Saturday Koshyari had said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Rao was the hero of the old times, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Nitin Gadkari are the heroes of the new era. This statement created a controversy. Maratha organisations, including opposition parties, demanded that the central government remove Koshyari from the post of governor.
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has given many controversial statements in the past as well.
Raut said – never seen such anger against the governor in any state
Sanjay Raut further said that such anger against the governor has never been seen in any state. People are angry here. Here the BJP has made Raj Bhavan its headquarter, due to which the dignity of the Governor has been lost. Raut further said that many leaders of NCP and Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena also believe that the governor of Maharashtra should be removed from the post, but they do not have the courage to say this in front of everyone.
Gadkari said – Shivaji is our God
Bhagat Singh Koshyari had given the title of D. Litt to Nitin Gadkari in Aurangabad. At the same time he called Gadkari the icon of the state.
Addressing a program in Marathi, Nitin Gadkari said – Shivaji Maharaj is our God. We have more loyalty towards Shivaji Maharaj than mother and father. His life is a model for us. He was a successful, famous, capable public king. He was the Mahameru of determination, the Abhang Shrimant Yogi. He was not a king who did D.Ed, B.Ed.
