In Maharashtra, ED has taken action against Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. Enforcement Directorate ED attaches assets of Shiv Sena leader in Rs 1,034 crore Patra Chawl land scam case. The directorate has attached a plot in Alibaug of Sanjay and a flat in Dadar.
The ED said that it has attached properties worth Rs 11.15 crore. Out of this, the property of 9 crores belongs to Praveen Raut, while the property of 2 crores belongs to Sanjay Raut’s wife Varsha Raut.
After the action was taken, Sanjay wrote on Twitter – Astameev Jayate. After this, he came in front of the media and also reacted to it. Sanjay said – what is the meaning of property – you understand the meaning of property and property. Am I Vijay Mallya, Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi or am I Ambani-Adani.
He said, ‘The house in which I live is small. My native place is Alibaug, I don’t even have an acre of land there. Whatever has been taken has been taken from hard earned money. This property has been taken in 2009, but the central probe agency thinks that it is money laundering, but it is being done out of political vendetta.
I am being pressured to topple the government.
Sanjay said that I had already told the Rajya Sabha Speaker about this that pressure is being made on me to topple the Maharashtra government. I am being told that for not doing so, I will have to face the Central Investigation Agency.
Sanjay said – I am not afraid
He further said that I am not going to be afraid, whether confiscate my property, shoot me or send me to jail. I am a follower of Balasaheb Thackeray and a Shiv Sainik. I will fight and expose everyone. I am not one to keep quiet, let them dance. Truth will prevail.
NCP accuses BJP of taking revenge
After the ED’s action of attaching the properties of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, the NCP has accused the BJP of doing politics of revenge. Along with this, he has also been accused of misusing the central investigative agencies to suppress the voice of MVA leaders in Maharashtra.
Property of AAP leader Satyendra also seized
In another case, the ED has also taken action against Delhi government minister Satyendar Jain in the investigation of corruption allegations. Under which properties worth Rs 4.81 crore of Jain’s associates have been confiscated. A case has been registered against Satyendra Jain and his associates in this case in 2017.
