The ED talked about providing a room with ventilation and said that it is investigating how 1 crore 6 lakh came in the account of his and the family and how much was spent on foreign tour. We have found some papers in the raid, which shows that Raut was given a certain amount every month by Praveen.

Bail canceled at new point of 3 crores
The ED, which is probing the Patra Chawl scam, told the court that Sanjay Raut had given Rs 3 crore in cash to buy 10 plots. Sanjay Raut got this cash from Praveen Raut. Praveen was like a ‘frontman’ to Sanjay Raut. He also used to send lakhs of rupees in cash every month to Sanjay Raut. On the basis of this new disclosure of 3 crores, the ED opposed the bail. The judge, while canceling the bail plea, extended the custody till Monday.

11 and a half lakh cash found at Raut’s house
Here, sources said that during the search of Sanjay Raut’s house on Sunday, the ED has found 11 and a half lakh rupees in cash. Raut or his family members could not reveal the source of this amount. ED has recorded this recovery in its investigation. Patra Chawl scam is worth Rs 1,043 crore. Raut is an accused in this case.

So far, assets worth 11 crores seized
This case is related to Patra Chawl in Goregaon area of Mumbai. It is a plot of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. There is an allegation of scam of about 1,034 crores in this. In this case, assets worth Rs 9 crore of Sanjay Raut and Rs 2 crore of Raut’s wife Varsha have been confiscated.

It is alleged that real estate businessman Praveen Raut cheated the people living in Patra Chawl. A construction company got the job of constructing 3,000 flats on this plot. Of these, 672 flats were to be given to the residents already living here. The rest was to be given to MHADA and the said company, but in the year 2011, parts of this huge plot were sold to other builders.

Case exposed in the investigation of PMC Bank scam
The PMC Bank scam that surfaced in Maharashtra in 2020 was being investigated, when the name of Praveen Raut’s construction company came to the fore. It was then learned that a loan of Rs 55 lakh was given to Sanjay Raut’s wife Varsha Raut from the bank account of the builder’s wife. It is alleged that Sanjay Raut had bought a flat in Dadar with this money.

Praveen’s company sold land to 16 builders
The ED investigation has revealed that after taking FSI of MHADA land in an unauthorized manner, Guru Ashish Company swiftly sold it to 16 other builders. Praveen Raut was a director in this company. Due to this Guru Ashish Company got a huge financial profit. However, only 10 per cent of the project has been completed so far. To accomplish this, Guru Ashish Company needs a huge amount, but it is now in the process of declaring bankruptcy.

112 crore received for selling land illegally
According to the ED, the residents of Patra Chawl had entered into a triple agreement with MHADA and Guru Ashish Construction Company. Praveen Raut, director of Guru Ashish Company, played an important role in this agreement. The original agreement states that Guru Ashish Company cannot sell any MHADA land to any third party. Despite this, the land was sold fraudulently.

In return, Praveen Raut received Rs 112 crore from HDIL (Housing Development and Infrastructure Limited) in 2010-2011. According to the ED, instead of investing it in the Patra Chawl project after taking the money illegally, M/s Guru Ashish Constructions Pvt Ltd withdrew the money. The special thing is that Praveen Raut did not invest any money in the project.

Conspiracy hatched with Sanjay Raut
The ED has further claimed that during the investigation of the PMLA case, it has come to light that Sanjay Raut, Praveen Raut, Rakesh Kumar Wadhawan and Sarang Wadhawan conspired together. Sanjay Raut’s wife was identified with Praveen’s wife

These contracts were done in the name of Swapna Patkar and Varsha Raut. Patkar has said in his statement that in lieu of buying these lands, the sellers were paid in cash and the source of this cash payment is Pravin Raut.

When ‘Avni Infrastructure’ company was formed, Sanjay Raut’s wife Varsha Raut was a teacher and Praveen Raut’s wife Madhuri Raut was a housewife at that time. Varsha Raut got Rs 13 lakh 95 thousand 611 in lieu of investment of Rs 5625/- in ‘Avni Infrastructure’.
