Samantha Apologizes To Vijay Deverakonda Fans; Says ‘Kushi’ Will Resume Shoot Soon

New Delhi: Fans of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda have been anticipating the release of their Telugu romantic drama ‘Kushi’ for quite some time now. Looks like fans have a reason to rejoice, as Samantha has herself cleared the air about the constant delayed shoots and the film’s production taking a back seat because of that. Samantha took to Twitter to apologise to Deverakonda’s fans and shared an update about the film resuming shoot soon.

Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will reunite a second time after ‘Mahanti’.

‘Kushi’ was announced last May with the first official poster and title. At that time, Samantha had shared that the film would offer a grand family experience. The film was also being shot in Kashmir, however, after the first schedule, the shoot came to a stop and later it was revealed Samantha was suffering from a rare auto-immune disease called myositis.

Samantha paused all her work commitments and went to the USA for the treatment of her medical condition. Due to this, the shoot of ‘Kushi’ was postponed for several months.

On Wednesday, replying to a question from a fan about when she will resume shooting for ‘Kushi’, Samantha tweeted, “Kushi will resume very soon. My apologies to Vijay Deverakonda fans (sic).” Users asked her to take care of herself first. They also called her gesture ‘sweet’. One user tweeted, “Thank you Samantha. But please take care of yourself (sic).” Another user wrote, “Such a sweet gesture (sic).”

Meanwhile, Samantha was last seen in the Telugu action-film ‘Yashoda’. The film was a big box office hit and grossed around Rs. 33 crores worldwide in its first 10 days.

During the promotions of Yashoda, Samantha had become emotional and opened up about her health. She told the media last year, “As I said in my post (instagram), some days are good, some are bad. Some days, I’ve felt even taking one more step would be difficult. But when I look back, I wonder I’ve gone through so much and have come this far. I’m here to fight.”
