Sajid Nadiadwala has signed a big contract with Rajinikanth for his biopic rights.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala recently confirmed teaming up with superstar Rajinikanth. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Nadiadwala has signed a big contract with Rajinikanth for his biopic rights. Over the past few months, he has been working closely with Rajinikanth and his family to ensure the story’s authenticity.
“Very few know that Sajid Nadiadwala is a big fan of not just Rajinikanth the actor, but also Rajinikanth the person. He believes that Rajinikanth’s story deserves to be seen by the world – from a bus conductor to a superstar. Sajid is personally looking into the script and working towards getting the film to the spectacle,” a source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama.
The source confirmed that for the past few months, Sajid has stayed in touch with Rajinikanth and his family to ensure the story is authentic. “The idea is to make a film that stands the test of time. It’s the greatest rags to riches story, and will focus more on Rajinikanth the human,” the source added.
In March, Sharing a happy photo of themselves, Sajid had written, “It’s a true honour to collaborate with the legendary Rajinikanth Sir! Anticipation mounts as we prepare to embark on this unforgettable journey together!” A statement from their team read, “It’s a monumental collaboration with the iconic Superstar Rajinikanth. The prospect of these two titans coming together undoubtedly ignites anticipation for something truly extraordinary.”
Meanwhile on the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in Lal Salaam. Released on February 9, Lal Salaam is a sports drama featuring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, with Rajinikanth making an extended cameo appearance. It is directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The film was initially supposed to be released during the Pongal festival in January. However, it was later postponed to February.
