Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar shared a heartwarming moment with a fan on February 1 (Thursday), and the video quickly amassed over half a million views on social media. In the cricket fraternity, there’s hardly a name that resonates more profoundly than that of the former Indian great, Sachin Tendulkar. Cricket enthusiasts from around the globe regard him as one of the greatest to have ever wielded a cricket bat.

Sachin Tendulkar took to the social media platform of X to share a video capturing his interaction with a fan on the road. Along with the video, Sachin captioned, “Sachin meets TENDULKAR. 😋It fills my heart with joy when I see so much love showered on me. It is the love from the people that keeps coming from unexpected corners which makes life so special.”

In the beginning, the video captures Sachin shaking the fan’s hand, and the fan expresses surprise and gratitude. Following this, Sachin requests the fan to turn around, to reveal the back of his T-shirt saying, “Show the T-shirt to our friend, turn around.” (as translated by Google Translate.)

However, the video swiftly rewinds, revealing Sachin’s car trailing a man on a scooter donning a blue Mumbai Indians jersey featuring the inscription “Tendulkar,” “10,” and “I miss You” on the back. After having the fan pull up next to Sachin’s car, Sachin inquires, “How to go to the airport?” The fan looks completely overwhelmed and joins his hands saying, “I can’t believe it, thank you god!”

The video then shows the fan proceeding to seek Sachin’s autograph and capturing a selfie with him, expressing, “Today I saw my God, today is a very special day for me.”

Sachin also praised the fan for wearing a helmet while riding a scooter, emphasising the importance of safety.
