The defence ministry claimed Russia launched its newest Kinzhal hypersonic missiles for the first time in Ukraine on Friday to destroy a weapons storage location in the country’s west. Russia has never confessed to employing the high-precision weapon in combat before, and state news agency RIA Novosti reported that it was the first time the Kinzhal hypersonic weapons were used during the pro-Western Ukraine conflict.
