The Russia-Ukraine war entered the 16th day today. Despite a sustained onslaught, Russian forces have failed to crush Ukraine’s military. Shellings continued in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. Russia-Ukraine talks ended in a stalemate yet again. Ukraine had called for a ceasefire to evacuate civilians stranded in Mariupol. Russia refused to meet Ukraine’s demands.
Meanwhile in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a mega show at his home turf, Ahmedabad, on Friday, a day after his party’s stellar performance in four states – Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. This will be the soft start to campaigns for the Assembly elections slated for later this year, sources in the BJP told India Today TV.
