The cash van from which Rs 2 crore 62 lakh was robbed in Rohtak, Haryana on Friday afternoon, came out of the bank with Rs 4 crore 73 lakh in the morning. 2 crore 92 lakh rupees were left at the time of looting. As 30 lakh rupees were kept aside, they were saved from robbing. The Urban Estate Police has registered a case on the complaint of the cashier of CMS Cash Company. The police could not reach the robbers till late in the night.

The special thing is that only a guard with a dog gun was deployed in the security of huge cash of 4.73 crores. Before he could do anything, the robbers shot him. His gun was also taken away. Four employees were roaming freely on the streets giving crores of rupees to their fellow workers or loading them in ATMs with great carelessness. Neither did they worry about security nor fear of robbery.

The work of our company is to take money from the bank and put money in ATMs made at different places. As usual today, at around 9:30 AM, cash van number with my fellow employees, cashier Pradeep son Suresh Kumar resident of Shri Ramnagar colony, Sunarian Chowk Rohtak, gunman Ramesh son Rajendra resident village Titauli and driver Jaideep son Ishwar resident of village Madina Ginderan Pana HR-37D -1497 drove in Bolero with Rs 4 crore 73 lakh. In which Rs 50 lakh was given to our company number-3 on HDFC Bank D Park and Rs 76 lakh to party-1.

Shashi Prakash further told that after that Sheela had put 25 lakh rupees in HDFC Bank ATM at Bye Pass Rohtak. Then after reaching Sector-3 Rohtak, put 30 lakh rupees in another ATM of HDFC Bank. Then at around 1 pm, we took our cash van and reached the ATM of Axis Bank in Sector-1 Rohtak to withdraw money.

According to Shashi, at that time we had Rs 2 crore 92 lakh in the cash van. We got down from the car, opened the cash cabin and started withdrawing cash. At the same time, two youths, one of whom had tied a white bandage on his mouth and the other was wearing a black cloth on his face. Both came towards us and one of them opened fire on our gunman Ramesh, which hit Ramesh. They both snatched Ramesh’s gun (Doga).

After this, 3 iron boxes and a bag were kept in the cash van in which Rs 2 crore 92 lakh were kept. Taking two boxes and a bag, sitting on their black motorcycle, they fled from the spot with two iron boxes filled with money and a bag containing Rs 2 crore 62 lakh.

Gunman got two bullets

According to Shashi, as soon as the robbers escaped, our employee Jaideep called on dial 112 and informed the police about the incident. Then the police came to the spot. The gunman took Ramesh to PGI for treatment. He was shot twice. Doctors have declared his condition out of danger. Shashi Kumar has appealed to the police to trace the two young boys and take action against them and recover the looted money.

They had reached the spot

In the diary written at 4.45 pm, ASI Rajendra of Rohtak Sector-1 police post has written that on Friday afternoon, he was in the outpost. In the meantime, information was received from the telephone that the cash was snatched by shooting the employee who had come to deposit cash at the ATM of Sector-1 AXIS Bank. After this he reached the spot with HC Suresh and SPO Vinay. There Shashi Prakash gave information about the whole incident of robbery. After this, he informed the entire situation to the SHO. Later IG Mamta Singh and SSP Rohtak Udayveer Singh also reached the spot and inspected. A case has been registered under sections 394,397,307,379B,34 IPC and 25-54-59 A.ACT in connection with the incident at Urban Estate Police Station.

PNB was also targeted

There was an attempt to withdraw cash from PNB Bank ATM in Rohtak on Friday. The machine could not break down and the thieves returned empty handed due to the surveillance system. A case has been registered by Sangeeta, Branch Manager of Punjab National Bank (PNB) Tilak Nagar at Urban Estate Police Station regarding this incident.

Vijay Nagar resident Sangeeta said that on April 8 at 12:36 am, she received information about attempt to theft by two unidentified persons in Sector-3 PNB ATM through E Surveillance. On reaching there, it was found that the lock of the shutter of the ATM was broken. The thieves tried to break into the ATMM. But he could not succeed in this endeavor. The thieves broke the outer cover of the ATM, but after that they fled.
