Richa Chadha’s Wedding Jewellery To Be Custom Made By 175-Year-Old Bikaner Jeweller Family

New Delhi: Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are all set to tie the knot. Their wedding festivities will start on September 30 and last 5 days in Delhi and Mumbai. The wedding preparations are currently in full swing. While the celebrations are expected to start end of next week, the actors’ teams are currently in prep mode to ensure Richa looks her regal best for her ceremonies and celebrations.

For the Delhi functions, the actress’ jewellery is being custom-made by a 175 old jeweller family from Bikaner. The Khajanchi family is a revered family of jewellers who are known for their statement heirloom pieces and they will be designing signature pieces for Richa.

The Khajanchi family are descendants of Moti Chand Khajanchi, one of the earliest art collectors in Rajasthan, and the patrons of their jewellery include the royal family of Bikaner.

Apart from this, the couple’s pre-wedding celebrations will take place in an exclusive and one of India’s oldest clubs, the Delhi Gymkhana Club. The venue will host one of the ceremonies. The club is said to have a wait list of almost 37 years for membership.

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have been together for a long time now. They met on the sets of ‘Fukrey’ in 2012 and began dating soon after. Since then, the couple has been inseparable.

In August, while speaking to a news channel, Richa confirmed her wedding with Ali Fazal this year. She had then said, “I think shaadi ho jaegi iss saal. Kar lenge kisi tarah se (We will get married this year, we will marry somehow). We’re very excited to get married but (we are) just worried about Covid and want to be responsible. We don’t want to be in the news for the wrong reasons. Plus, we’ve both gotten really, really busy when stuff opened up, and work resumed at full pace. So I’m saying we have to do a live production job of taking combination dates and making this happen this year,” she told News18.
