A new revelation has come to light in the Ribika murder case of Sahibganj, Jharkhand. According to police sources, Ribika was pregnant. Before the murder, Dildar’s maternal uncle and his accomplice had raped Ribika. Ribika was married and has a five-year-old daughter.
So far 10 accused have been sent to jail in this case. Police sources claim that the accused have confessed to the crime. However, no official statement has come on this yet.
SP Anuranjan Kispotta told over the phone that we are probing all these cases. Only after this something will be decided. On the question of Ribika being pregnant, the SP said – We will be able to comment officially only after the completion of the investigation. Was Ribika raped before she was murdered? On this question too, the SP said – comment can be made only after the medical report comes.
A month ago, Ribika did a love marriage with Dildar.
Rebecca’s funeral
Ribika (Ruby) was cremated at Gonda Pahar. Deputy Commissioner Ramnivas Yadav and SP Anuranjan Kispotta were also present during the last rites.
Both Dildar and Ribika were married earlier
This was the second marriage of both Dildar and Ribika. Ribica has a five-year-old daughter named Riya. Dildar has a son from his first marriage. Ribika’s daughter lived with her grandparents. Dildar wanted to take Ribika’s daughter along, but her grandfather refused.
Police have so far recovered 18 pieces of the body.
Postmortem in Dumka
The postmortem of the pieces of Ribika’s body took place at Phulo Jhano Hospital in Dumka. What is in the report, its official information has not been found so far. Hair and pieces of flesh have been matched. According to sources, it belongs to Rebecca only. With the help of dog squad, some clothes including the blood stained jacket of Ribika have been recovered.
Still looking for the main weapon
Police are still searching for the main weapon used in the murder of Ribika Pahadin. The police have so far seized two knives of small size from the house of the accused, but the police believe that with this size weapon there would be a problem in dismembering the body.
This kind of murder requires a big weapon which is being looked for. Police have also recovered liquor bottle and drug paraphernalia from the murdered house.
