There has been a big disclosure in the sensational murder case of Monika in Sonipat, Haryana. Her lover Sunil alias Sheela was already married. Knowing all this, he did a love marriage with her on 29 January 2022. When she was at her aunt’s house in Gumad village, Sunil used to come there to get milk. In the beginning, he made her sister Monika and tied Rakhi too. But later both of them got married tarnishing this relationship. The relationship ended with Monica’s murder in June-2022.

The failure of the Sonepat police in the Monika murder case has also come to the fore. The police kept the matter under wraps for 20 days. There was an attack on the house, CCTV footage surfaced, the relatives also met the SP, but the police did not wake up for 20 days. Later, when a case of kidnapping of Monica was registered, no arrest was made. The investigation into the matter began after the intervention of Home Minister Anil Vij.

While living in village Gumad at her aunt Roshni’s house, Monika was preparing for IELTS after graduating from Delhi University and taking computer coaching as well. On January 5, 2022, she left for Canada to study Business Management.

His closeness with Sunil alias Sheela was so close that he was called back to India on January 22 only 17 days after Sunil had gone to Canada. Both stayed together for a week and then on 29 January 2022, both of them got married at the Arya Samaj temple in Ghaziabad. On January 30, Monica again went to Canada.

Police investigation revealed that Monica was so infatuated with boyfriend Sunil that she left her studies in Canada and came back to Sunil in April 2022. Both went to visit many places. In June 2022, both had a fight and Sunil shot him dead in Gannaur area. The dead body was buried in the ground in the farm house of Garhi Jhanjhara.

Monica’s family did not even realize her murder for several months. They understood that the daughter was in Canada. But after June, Monica lost contact with her family members. After this, the family members also started worrying about untoward incident. After 5 months, on October 26, 2022, a complaint of kidnapping of Monica was lodged in Ganaur.

Sonipat police’s failure came to the fore

The failure of the Sonepat police has also come to the fore in the Monika murder case. After the disappearance of Monica, the relatives had accused Sunil alias Sheela of kidnapping the daughter. Police did not take any action. On October 28, 2022, the family members met the SP. Even after this, the police remained clueless in the matter. On November 2, 2022, there was also an attack on the aunt’s house in Gumd. The police did not wake up even after the incident was captured in CCTV.

After a lot of efforts by the family members, on 16 November 2022, a case of kidnapping of Monica was registered against Sunil alias Sheela. He was not arrested. On December 3, 2022, Monica’s mother and aunt met Home Minister Anil Vij in Ambala. Informed him about the whole matter. After this Vij ordered action to IG Rohtak Range. After this the case was handed over to Bhiwani CIA-2.

Inspector Ravindra Kumar, in-charge of Bhiwani CIA 2, said that Sunil alias Sheela, accused in the Monica case, was arrested from Muzaffarnagar in UP. There was a quarrel between the two. On June 2022, Garhi was going to Jhanjhara Farm House in the car. The two again had a fight and he shot and killed Monica. Sheela has been involved in criminal activities. There are 7 cases going on against him. The dead body was buried by the laborers by digging a deep pit on the pretext of a safety tank. Grass had grown on top.

He heard the sound of fan running. At that time it was bitterly cold in Canada. When he interrupted Monika, she disconnected the call. His number was also blacklisted.
