A retired police officer named Mohd Shafi was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir police said on Sunday.

According to J&K police, the incident took place when he was praying Azan in a mosque at Gantmulla in Sheeri village. The area has been cordoned off.
“Terrorists fired upon Mohd Shafi, a retired police officer at Gantmulla, Sheeri Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir, while praying Azan in the mosque, and he succumbed to injuries, J&K The area has been cordoned off. Further details are awaited. J&K Police,” Kashmir Zone Police said on X.
