Cramer missed Tuesday’s procedural vote to advance gun legislation, which Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he expected to pass by the end of the week.

Kramer’s spokeswoman, Molly Block, then clarified that her fingers were at risk of amputation, not her entire hand. Cramer is ‘joking that his future @NFL career is over,’ she wrote on Twitter.

Kramer wrote in a separate post that ‘part of a little finger’ is at risk.

The senator said he expected to return to Washington after July 4, and would pull out “a lot of left-handed punches.”
