North Dakota RepublicanThe 61, said the injury occurred ‘while working in the yard’ but did not say what happened. He said he remained in North Dakota Close to medical care because of ‘high risk of infection and potential need for amputation’.
‘I am alert and in good spirits. Although I’m missing this week of votes and hearings, I’m monitoring managing committee Business closely,’ he said.

Cramer missed Tuesday’s procedural vote to advance gun legislation, which Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he expected to pass by the end of the week.
Kramer’s spokeswoman, Molly Block, then clarified that her fingers were at risk of amputation, not her entire hand. Cramer is ‘joking that his future @NFL career is over,’ she wrote on Twitter.
Kramer wrote in a separate post that ‘part of a little finger’ is at risk.
The senator said he expected to return to Washington after July 4, and would pull out “a lot of left-handed punches.”
