Former NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede has got relief from the Bombay High Court.

Former NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede has got relief from the Bombay High Court. The court directed the CBI not to take any action on Wankhede till May 22. However, the court has asked Sameer to appear before the CBI by 11 am tomorrow.

Sameer, on the other hand, says that action is being taken against him with a sense of revenge. Actually CBI had called Sameer for questioning on May 18, but he did not turn up. Sameer had also reached the Delhi High Court against CBI’s summons, but he got only disappointment from there, the Delhi High Court said that if you want relief, you should go to the Bombay High Court. Seeing this, Sameer moved the Bombay High Court against the summons.

In fact, Sameer is alleged to have demanded Rs 25 crore in lieu of releasing Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan in the drugs case. For this he had given the responsibility to a person named KP Gosavi. When NCB Deputy Director General Gyaneshwar Singh investigated the matter, many things came to the fore.

Corruption case surfaced against Sameer
In the investigation against Sameer Wankhede, a case of corruption came out against him. In this investigation, it was found that between 2017 and 2021, he made 6 foreign tours. During this he went to countries like Britain, Ireland, Portugal, South Africa and Maldives. The surprising thing is that he has told the total cost of these tours up to Rs 8.75 lakh, but this much is spent in the flight ticket itself.

Apart from this, he bought a gold watch worth 22 lakhs, which he did not inform the department. When did he go abroad, where did he stay, how much money did he spend. He did not give the exact details of this. The question has arisen in the investigation that when Sameer’s annual income is Rs 15.75 lakh, while his wife’s income is Rs 7 lakh, then how do they indulge in such expensive hobbies.

Aryan had given complete information about drugs case to seniors, handed over chats as proof
Sameer Wankhede filed a writ in his defense on May 18 in the Delhi High Court. Under this, he has provided some copy of the chats. It has been revealed in these chats that he had a conversation with his senior officers regarding Aryan Khan. The CBI has alleged against Sameer that he was probing the case without taking his officers into cognizance.

Now Sameer has submitted the complete chat of the conversation with his senior Gyaneshwar Singh in connection with this case in the court. According to the filing writ, Sameer Wankhede, who was the zonal director of NCB in the Aryan Khan cruise drugs case, had been giving every detail related to the investigation and legal process to NCB DG Satyanarayan Pradhan, DDG Ashok Mutha Jain and DDG Dnyaneshwar Singh from time to time.

Sameer claims – the officials had full knowledge of the case
According to other things that have come to light in the chats, DDG Ashok Mutha Jain had instructed Sameer to fight more vigorously for Aryan Khan’s remand. Ashok had also talked about giving more extra staff to Sameer for this.

In this whole matter, Sameer has been accused that he had demanded Rs 25 crore to release Aryan Khan. For this he had given the responsibility to a person named KP Gosavi. KP Gosavi is the same person who took selfie with Aryan Khan who was in NCB custody.

According to the FIR lodged by the CBI against Wankhede, KP Gosavi has no connection with the NCB. The CBI says that when NCB officials were present there, then why was Gosavi paired with Aryan.

According to the FIR lodged against Sameer, he told his officers to put pressure on Aryan's family and force them to pay money.

According to the FIR lodged against Sameer, he told his officers to put pressure on Aryan’s family and force them to pay money.

Now in the chats that Sameer has presented in the court, he is informing his senior Dnyaneshwar Singh that the person taking the selfie (KP Gosavi) is not an officer but a private witness. Through these chats, Sameer is trying to tell that along with him, the officers above him also knew who KP Gosavi was. Apart from this, it has also been claimed in these chats that Sameer’s seniors wanted to extend Aryan Khan’s remand as much as possible in this case.

A selfie changed the whole case
According to India Today’s report, if KP Gosavi’s selfie with Aryan had not gone viral, then perhaps this matter would have been buried. Aryan was told that KP Gosavi is an officer of NCB. He recorded the audio of Aryan Khan and sent it to Pooja Dadlani, the manager of Shahrukh Khan.

In this audio clip, Aryan says- Papa, I am under the custody of NCB, help me. Gosavi had also sent Pooja a selfie picture with Aryan. Gosavi then demanded Rs 25 crore from Pooja to release Aryan.

Gosavi returned the money to Shahrukh’s manager
Gosavi and Pooja Dadlani also met after demanding money. After negotiations, the deal was finalized for 18 crores. Gosavi had already taken Rs 50 lakh as token money from Pooja. However, later Gosavi returned Rs 38 lakh to Pooja and said that he had given the remaining Rs 12 lakh to Sameer Wankhede. It is possible that now CBI will also record the statement of Pooja Dadlani.
