Redmi is set to unveil the Redmi 13C (4G) and Redmi 13C 5G in India today (December 6) via an exclusive online event. Despite multiple leaks and rumours, a latest tip, just hours before the launch event has revealed the price, colour options, and complete spec sheet for the Redmi 13C 5G model. The Redmi 13C series will be officially unveiled by the handset maker at 12:00 noon IST and the launch event can be live-streamed on YouTube. According to a previous report by 91Mobiles, Xiaomi is reportedly equipping the Redmi 13C in India with the more robust Helio G99 chipset, replacing the originally deployed Helio G85 from MediaTek for global variants. The remaining specifications are expected to stay consistent with the global model.
Notably, Redmi, the Xiaomi subsidiary focusing on affordable smartphones, is set to unveil its latest budget smartphone — the Redmi 13C — in India after a period of relative quiet in product launches. The device launching today had made its debut in select markets outside of China a few months ago.
Expected specs and features of the Redmi 13C in India include, a front-facing 6.74-inch IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass protection, according to tipster Mukul Sharma. The leakster further noted that the handset may house a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. Memory options could comprise 4+128GB and 8+256GB variants, featuring an 8GB Virtual RAM and expandable storage with a dedicated MicroSD slot.

For power, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging is anticipated. Camera capabilities may include a 50MP AI dual camera setup. Additional features encompass Dual 5G Standby, a side-facing fingerprint reader, and a splash and dust-resistant design.
The phone is expected to be available in three colours: Startrail Black, Startrail Silver and Startrail Green. The tipster further suggested a launch price of approximately Rs 10,000 for the Redmi 13C 5G model.
The device is likely to run Android 13-based MIUI custom skin on top. It will be powered by a sizeable 5,000mAh battery that will support fast charging with speeds up to 18W. As per the official website, the battery can support up to 23 hours of video streaming on a single charge, while the fast charging capability will be able to juice up the device enough to provide five hours of music playback with just five minutes of charging.
