realme: Realme GT 2 Pro key design and camera features officially revealed – Times of India

realme has revealed a few details about the design, camera and connectivity in its upcoming flagship Realme GT 2 Pro smartphone. The company announced the details at the Realme gt 2 series special event. The brand has already confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Key specs of the device have already been leaked in various leaks and rumours.
When it comes to the design, Realme claims that the Realme GT 2 Pro will be the world’s first smartphone to be designed with bio-based materials. As per the company, the back cover on the smartphone uses a bio-polymer material that serves as an eco-friendly alternative to fossil raw materials that contribute to global warming. The SABIC bio-based material on the device has passed various environmental regulation standards, such as REACH, RoHS, and EPEAT. Additionally, Realme’s new box design has also reduced the overall plastic ratio – from 21.7% in the previous generation to 0.3% in the current model.
When it comes to camera, the company claims that the Realme GT 2 Pro is the first smartphone to offer a 150-degrees ultra-wide camera, which expands the phone’s field of view by 278% compared to the main camera’s 84-degrees field. The company has also developed the world’s first fisheye mode for smartphones on the device to provide an ultra-long depth of field effect.
The Realme GT 2 Pro is equipped with HyperSmart antenna switching technology that is designed with 12 wrap-around antennas that cover all sides of the phone and support mainstream bands in almost all directions, all with the same signal strength. This allows GT 2 Pro to evaluate the signal strength of all antennas and automatically select the one with the best signal.
In terms of the Wi-Fi network enhancer, the company claims that the symmetrical Wi-Fi antenna is designed to ensure more balanced signal strength around the phone. The device also integrates the top two cellular antennas with an NFC signal transceiver function, increasing the sensing area by 500% and the sensing distance by 20%. The entire upper part of the GT 2 Pro senses NFC signals in either direction, facilitating the use of NFC for swiping cards or smartphones.
