Ranchi Violence: Maulana Hakimuddin meets DIG on Ranchi violence, ‘Family of the dead should get compensation’

Words are being fired from Muslim religious leaders to politicians. In this sequence, a team formed under the leadership of Maulana Hakimuddin, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, reached Ranchi to meet DIG Anish Gupta. After meeting Hakimuddin spoke to the media and made many demands from the government.

Hakimuddin said the situation in Ranchi had worsened a day earlier due to the protests in which many people lost their lives. That’s why we came to meet the DIG. He said that the government should help in the treatment of the injured and financial compensation should be given to the kin of the deceased. We have appealed to the DIG to stop the illegal arrests. The police were involved in killing the public.

We appealed for peace: Maulana Hakimuddin
Maulana Hakimuddin said that we have met the DIG to appeal for peace and will meet the DCP. We are also trying to meet the DGP, Governor and CM. An SIT has been constituted to probe the incident, and according to the DIG the report will come within a week.

On Ranchi violence, DIG Anish Gupta said that the research team has been formed which is headed by City SP. Wherever the incident took place, an FIR has been registered on the statement of the magistrate and the police. Apart from this, if there is damage to any person or his property, then an FIR has also been registered on the basis of that.
