On the other hand, in Haryana, Karnataka and Maharashtra, the results were in favor of the BJP. In Rajasthan, BJP MLA cross voted in favor of Congress and in Haryana Congress MLA voted in favor of BJP supported independent.

Where were the equations created and deteriorated in these elections? Who made whose game and who spoiled it? Whose strategy didn’t work? Let us understand the meaning of state wise results.

What happened in Rajasthan?
Five candidates were in the fray for four seats in Rajasthan. Three from Congress, one from BJP and one Independent supported by BJP. Pench was caught between Congress’ third candidate Pramod Tiwari and BJP-backed independent Subhash Chandra. In the 200-member assembly, a candidate needed 41 votes to win.

Congress candidate Randeep Surjewala got 43 votes, Mukul Wasnik got 42 votes and Pramod Tiwari got 41 votes. In this way, Ashok Gehlot was able to garner the support of 126 MLAs in favor of his party’s candidates even after one vote was rejected. Whereas, Congress has only 108 MLAs in the assembly. In these also the opinion of Parasram Mordia was rejected.

BJP candidate Ghanshyam Tiwari got 43 votes. At the same time, Subhash Chandra had to be satisfied with just 30 votes. The BJP has a total of 74 MLAs including 71 and its ally RLP three.

Chandra was talking about cross voting by eight Congress MLAs before voting. He could not even get the remaining 33 votes of NDA. Two additional votes were cast in favor of Ghanshyam Tiwari. At the same time, BJP MLA from Dholpur Shobharani Kushwaha did cross voting. Shobharani voted in favor of Congress candidate Pramod Tiwari.

What is the meaning of Rajasthan results?
The results are most comforting to Ashok Gehlot. It was the magic of Gehlot, who was called a magician, that he was able to persuade the angry MLAs. Angry BTP and independent MLAs voted in favor of the Congress candidate. Congress MLAs, who opened a front against the government, also united and voted for the party candidates.

These results are a kind of alarm bell for the BJP 16 months before the elections. There was factionalism in the party. The Dholpur MLA, who is considered close to Vasundhara Raje, further cemented the party factionalism by cross-voting. The Miss Management seen during the election is indicating a big change before the coming assembly elections.

Bishnoi spoiled Maken’s game in Haryana
In Haryana, three candidates were in the fray for two seats. BJP’s Krishna Lal Panwar, Congress’s Ajay Maken and BJP-backed Independent Karthikeya Sharma were hitting their stride. In the 90-member assembly, a candidate needed 31 votes to win. 36 votes were cast in favor of BJP candidate Krishan Lal Panwar. 29 votes were cast in favor of Ajay Maken of Congress. At the same time, Kartikeya Sharma got 23 votes.

In the first preference votes, both Maken and Karthikeya could not touch the winning figure. So the decision was taken by second preference votes. The 36 MLAs who voted for Krishan Lal Panwar gave the second preference vote to Karthikeya. At the same time, Maken did not have second preference votes. Karthikeya managed to register victory thanks to the second seeding votes.

The value of the vote of an MLA in the Rajya Sabha election is considered to be 100. 36 BJP MLAs gave the first preference vote to Krishan Lal Panwar. After one legislator did not vote and one vote was rejected, the required vote value for victory was 2934.

The extra votes that Panwar got were transferred to Karthikeya Sharma. Because all the MLAs had given the second preference vote to Karthikeya. In such a situation, Kartikeya got additional votes worth 666. The total value of his votes became 2966. Whereas Maken had votes worth only 2900.

change arithmetic like this
Independent Balraj Kundu did not cast his vote in the 90-member assembly. The vote of a Congress MLA with 31 members was rejected. In such a situation, only 88 members’ votes were counted. In this situation 29.34 votes were needed to win. Rebel Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi spoiled Ajay Maken’s game by cross voting.

Fadnavis’s plan spoiled the math of alliance in Maharashtra
Seven candidates were in the fray for the six Rajya Sabha seats in Maharashtra. BJP had fielded three, Shiv Sena two, Congress and NCP one candidate each. Here Sanjay Pawar of Shiv Sena had to face defeat. Apart from Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Anil Bonde and Dhananjay Mahadik won from BJP. Congress’s Imran Pratapgarhi, NCP’s Praful Patel and Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut also managed to win.

In the 288-member state assembly, 285 members cast their votes. Nawab Malik and Anil Deshmukh, two NCP MLAs who are in judicial custody, could not cast their votes. At the same time, Ramesh Lake of Shiv Sena passed away recently. The vote of Shiv Sena MLA Suhas Kande was rejected.

In such a situation, only 284 MLAs got valid votes. In this situation a candidate needed 41 votes to win. BJP’s Piyush Goyal and Anil Bonde got 48 votes each. Congress’s Imran Pratapgarhi got 44 votes while NCP’s Praful Patel got 43 votes. 41 MLAs voted in favor of Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut. On the other hand, BJP’s third candidate Dhananjay Mahadik got 41.58 votes. It also includes second preference votes. Talking about the first preference, Mahdik got a total of 27 votes. Whereas, Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Pawar could collect only 39.26 votes.

What is the meaning of Maharashtra results?
There are 169 MLAs in support of the Uddhav Thackeray government. Ahead of voting, the AIMI with two MLAs had also declared support for the ruling coalition. In such a situation, 171 MLAs can be considered in favor of the government. After two MLAs are in judicial custody and one MLA’s vote is canceled, this number reaches 168. Had all the parties in the ruling coalition voted for the candidates of the coalition, all four of its candidates would have won.

The NDA has a total of 113 MLAs, including 106 of the BJP. BJP candidates got a total of 123 votes. These figures show that most of the MLAs of smaller parties involved in Maha Vikas Aghani cast their votes for BJP candidates.
