After the victory in Himachal, the Congress has called a meeting of the Legislature Party at the Congress office in Shimla to elect the CM face. Even before this, the claimants to become the Chief Minister will perform a show of strength in Shimla today. At Holy Lodge, Pratibha Singh and election campaign committee chairman Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu supporters prepared its strategy till late night.

State Congress in-charge Rajiv Shukla, Observer Bhupesh Baghel and former Haryana CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda will reach Shimla by 12 noon. Though he was scheduled to visit Shimla till last night, but due to busy schedule of Baghel, this leader will reach Shimla today.

The Congress will hold a meeting of the Legislature Party at 3 pm. In this the Chief Minister’s face will be discussed. Observers appointed by the High Command will see how many MLAs are with which leader. He will give his report to the high command. On the basis of which the high command will announce the CM face.

Earlier the meeting was called in Chandigarh
Yesterday, the Congress had earlier called a meeting of the Legislature Party in Chandigarh. Most of the MLAs, supporters of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, had left for Chandigarh. However, by late evening the meeting was shifted to Shimla. After some time the MLAs will start reaching Shimla for this meeting.

These claimants of CM are lobbying
The contender leaders for the post of CM kept holding meetings last night. Pratibha Singh, Mukesh Agnihotri, Sukhwinder Singh are busy lobbying for themselves. But in case of no consensus on these, the high command can also discuss the names of Harshvardhan Chauhan from Shillai, Chandra Kumar from Jwali, Dhaniram Shandil from Solan to avoid any dispute.

Holi Lodge supporters can demand deputy CM
Sources reveal that his supporters may also demand Vikramaditya Singh to be made deputy CM if he becomes CM from other faction except Holi Lodge. Vikramaditya is the son of Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh. If this happens, for the first time in the state there will be a deputy CM along with the CM.

Doubt on making Pratibha Singh CM
Pratibha Singh is currently the State President as well as MP from Mandi parliamentary constituency. In such a situation, if the party makes him the CM, then Congress will not want to take the risk of by-election in Mandi, because BJP has given a strong performance by winning 9 out of 10 seats in Mandi district. Jairam Thakur, who was the CM in the BJP government, won here with a record margin of more than 37,000 votes.
