Three incidents happened in Faridkot in 2015

In the year 2015, there were 3 cases of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Bargadi village of Faridkot. In which the case of theft of the holy form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, putting up posters of sacrilege and tearing the parts of the form is included. Accusing the Dera Mukhi and some of his disciples in the three, the SIT said that there is enough evidence that they were linked to the Dera management.

One accused murdered in jail, 3 still absconding

Mohinderpal alias Bittu has also been made the main accused in this case. Bittu and his companions were upset over the non-release of the MSG movie. After which he prepared the whole conspiracy. Bittu was later murdered in Nabha jail. Sukhjinder Singh alias Sunny, Shakti Singh, Baljit Singh, Randeep Singh alias Neela, Nishan Singh, Narinder Sharma and Pradeep Singh have been made accused in this report. The arrests of Harsh Dhuri, Pradeep Kler and Sandeep Bareta are still pending in this case. All three have been declared as fugitives.

Questions raised on CBI’s closure report
The Punjab Police has also raised questions on the closure report of the CBI. In which the CBI had given a clean chit to Dera Sacha Sauda and its devotees. Punjab Police says that CBI ignored many facts.

  • The CBI said that the mobile dump data and call detail records did not show any suspicious movement of the accused. However, Punjab Police says that often people with criminal mind keep their mobiles switched off for some time and keep them away from the crime scene for some time, so that the investigating agency can be confused.
  • The Punjab Police also denied the claim of the CBI that no witnesses were found. He said the witnesses he found wanted to meet the CBI but they were not heard.
  • The CBI collected the fingerprints of 49 people during the investigation. These were all suspicious. The CBI got the report of only 10 people from the lab but the investigation was completed without waiting for the report of 39.
  • The posters of sacrilege were written with markers but the samples were taken by the CBI with regular pens. CBI ignored this too.
