Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was surrounded by Punjab Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Vading in Amritsar on Saturday. Raja Vading spoke to Kejriwal in front of the cameras in the lobby of the city’s Five Star Hotel. The issue was to allow luxury buses of Sukhbir Badal’s family-owned company to go directly to New Delhi Airport and not allow Volvo buses of Punjab Roadways.

After listening to Raja Vading’s full talk here, Kejriwal said that his government will also allow Punjab Roadways’ Volvo buses to go directly to Delhi airport provided there is no politics on this issue.

Wadding stuck in hotel lobby, Kejriwal had to come for meeting

Raja Vading had reached his official residence in New Delhi on Friday to meet Kejriwal on the issue of allowing government buses to go to the Delhi airport. There, there was a ruckus with the Delhi Police after being stopped in the security check area. At the same time, Raja Vading came to know that Arvind Kejriwal has a program with lawyers in Amritsar on Saturday in order to meet different sections before the Punjab Assembly elections and Kejriwal is staying in the hotel in Amritsar. As soon as he came to know about this, he returned to Amritsar from Delhi and reached to meet Kejriwal at Five Star Hotel on Saturday morning itself.

When Arvind Kejriwal, who was involved in the lawyers’ program, got information about the arrival of Raja Vading, he refused to meet him. On this, Raja Vading said that he would not go without meeting. After this, he camped in the lobby of the hotel and sat there for about 2 hours. When Kejriwal came to know about this, after the lawyers’ program was over, he reached the hotel lobby.

When Kejriwal invited him to the room, Wadding said – will talk here

Kejriwal, who reached the hotel lobby, invited Raja Vading to his room on the sixth floor of the hotel for a conversation, but he said that he would like to talk to him in front of the cameras in the lobby. Kejriwal also agreed to this. After listening to the full story of Vading, Kejriwal said that his government will also allow Volvo buses of Punjab Roadways to reach Delhi airport. Not only this, Kejriwal invited Raja Vading to come to Delhi with the family, which he accepted.

Such was the whole conversation between the two

  • Kejrival : You come to my house tomorrow with your family…
  • Wadding : Will come, but I have some issues…
  • Kejrival : Tell..?
  • Wadding : I have come to talk about my buses.. I wrote you 13 letters..
  • Kejrival : Yes…
  • Wadding : There was no reply to even a letter.
  • Kejrival : Hmm..
  • Wadding : What is happening is that… which is an Indo-Canadian bus, which is operated only by the Badal family. They are charging Rs 3000 per seat from NRI people. So if there are 52 seats, then one and a half lakh rupees are being charged to drop it to the airport in one route and in return also one and a half lakh rupees i.e. 3 lakh rupees per bus is being made. If the cost of an Indo-Canadian bus is taken out by 50 thousand rupees, then a bus is saving 2.5 lakhs. Caught the Indo-Canadian bus in front of the media. But what they are doing is that on contract carriages and tourist permits, buses ply and operate like state carriages. Notice was given to him in front of the media. I want that the government’s bus… either You will run the show… Delhi government does it. Or will the Delhi government bus go from there to Punjab… I am Transport Minister, whatever formality has to be done, we will do it… I request you who are these big crocodiles. .. so 87 lakh rupees is their earning a day. And this is completely illegal… it is my humble request to you… either you drive from Delhi or we are ready…
  • Kejrival : Absolutely…
  • Wadding : If you give such a big invitation to the family, I will come 100%…I Will Love to Come to You
  • Kejrival : ..so both the things are there.. I just… … they have impounded 115 buses in the last one or two months.. a little.. that means they are coming from different states…
  • Wadding : No sir… For Your..
  • Kejrival : Yes ok… but let me also speak…
  • Wadding : yes.. sorry..
  • Kejrival : He told that 115 buses have been impounded and 230 have been challaned…But You are Very Right…
  • Wadding : Right Sir… No Problem… But the Thing is only 35 buses arrive in Badal… I to be Very Honest Officials below Might Be not in your knowledge…
  • Kejrival : No they total… come from Rajasthan too… total buses that they have impounded.. they are 115
  • Wadding : ok sir… but below sir you need to look..i think there is a Little Involvement…
  • Kejrival : We’ll go to the airport, won’t we?
  • Wadding : ok sir.. pakka challenge… Now its your Promise…

Indo-Canadian buses go directly to the airport

The luxury buses of the Indo Canadian Transport Company – owned by the family of Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal – ply directly from Jalandhar to New Delhi Airport. These buses have got permission to go there for a long time. The fare from Jalandhar to New Delhi Airport in these buses is more than 3000 thousand rupees per seat. On the other hand, Volvo buses of Punjab Roadways are not allowed till the airport in Delhi. Roadways Volva buses go only till Delhi Bus Stand.

Vading said – Badal family gets a profit of Rs 87 lakh daily

Amarinder Singh Raja Vading has been raising the issue of denial of permission to Punjab Roadways buses to reach the airport ever since he became the transport minister of Punjab. He says that 35 luxury buses of Badal family go from Punjab to Delhi airport every day. If we look at the fare charged per seat, the Badal family makes a profit of Rs 87 lakh daily. On the other hand, Volvo buses of Punjab Roadways are ready to take passengers to Delhi airport for just Rs 1200 but the Kejriwal government of Delhi is not giving its permission.

Wadding’s allegation- Kejriwal did not reply to his 13 letters

Raja Vading alleges that he has written 13 letters to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Aviation Minister and BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia for permission to allow Volvo buses of Roadways to go directly to the airport. Scindia has said in the counter letter that the Ministry of Aviation has no objection to the permission given to the government buses to reach the airport, but this permission has to be given by the Delhi government. Vading alleges that the Kejriwal government of Delhi did not respond to a single letter from him.

Nice circuit house in Amritsar, couldn’t Kejri have stayed there?

Raja Vading, sitting in the lobby of the hotel, said that Arvind Kejriwal, who called himself a common man, had come to Amritsar and stayed in a five star hotel. Only rich people stay in this hotel. Amritsar city has very good circuit house. Couldn’t Kejriwal have stayed there?
