Punjab and Haryana have again come face to face over the pollution of stubble burning in the fields. Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has blamed Punjab solely for the increasing air pollution in the cities of Delhi and NCR. Manohar Lal has said that only 10% of the stubble is burning in Haryana as compared to the neighboring state.

He said that till now in 2021, there were 2,561 cases of stubble burning in Haryana. This year has seen 1,925 cases so far. At the same time, 13,873 cases of stubble burning have been reported in Punjab till this period. NGT has also reprimanded the state for this.

Punjab blames Haryana, Himachal
Punjab cabinet minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair has blamed Himachal and Haryana for the stubble burning. Meet Hair says that the figures show that Himachal and Haryana have a hand in air pollution, not Punjab. Meet Hare said that those who hold Punjab responsible should now obey me.

Haryana government will buy stubble, 5 members committee formed
CM Khattar said that the Haryana government will procure it to prevent stubble burning. Five member committees have been formed to determine the Minimum Support Price (MSP). In this, the director of the agriculture department has been made the chairman of the committee. Apart from this, Dr. Mukesh Jain, Director General of HAREDA, Dr. Baldev Dogra and Dr. Jagmahendra Nain will be its members.

24 industries agree to buy stubble
The CM said that the government is going to set up new industries based on stubble. About which this committee will make recommendations. The committee has been given 3 months for this. At present, 24 industries of the state, including the sugar mills of Narayangarh and Shahbad, have agreed to dispose of the stubble.
