Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann to Bring Resolution against Agnipath Scheme

It should be noted that young people would be enlisted in the Army for 4 years under the Agnipath scheme. In the first year, they will be paid a wage of roughly Rs 30,000 per month. Then, it will rise by 10% annually, meaning that in the second year, their income will be Rs 33,000, in the third year, Rs 36,500, and in the fourth year, Rs 40,000.

In the meantime, Seva Nidhi Fund would deduct around 30% of their monthly wage. Each Agniveer will receive a total payment of Rs. 11.77 lakh from the government upon completion of service after 4 years. About 25% of “Agniveers” will be retained for the following service after four years.
