Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given an open warning to former Congress CM Charanjit Singh Channi. CM Mann tweeted and asked Charanjit Singh Channi to make public the information about his nephew demanding money from the player. Otherwise CM Bhagwant Mann himself will share complete information in front of Punjab.
CM Mann tweeted and said – Charanjit Channi ji, I am giving you a chance till 2 pm on 31st May to make public all the information about the nephew demanding bribe from the player for the job… Otherwise, on 31st May at 2 pm I will I will put everything in front of Punjabis including photo, name and meeting place…
The issue was raised on 22 May
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had raised the issue during a public meeting in Sangrur on May 22. CM Mann had said- Last week he went to watch a cricket match at Himachal’s Dharamshala Stadium on the invitation of Preity Zinta, owner of IPL franchise Punjab Kings.
There he met a player who told that he went to the then CM Capt Amarinder Singh during the previous Congress government in Punjab to get a job. Captain told him that your work will be done. Meanwhile, the Congress removed the Captain and Channi became the Chief Minister. After this when the player met Channi, he asked him to meet his nephew.
According to Mann, when the player met Channi’s nephew, he said that it would take two. The player thought that maybe he is saying 2 lakh rupees. So when he reached with two lakh rupees, Channi’s nephew started abusing him, because according to him two means two crore rupees.
Channi had reached the gurudwara after the allegations
Channi had reached Katlagarh Sahib, the Gurdwara of Chamkaur Sahib, only after Chief Minister Mann leveled the allegations. While praying there, he had said- Today Maan made serious allegations against me, so I could not understand where to go and say my mind. That’s why I am offering prayers by coming to the land of martyrs, Gurdwara Katalgarh Sahib of Chamkaur Sahib.
If I have taken even a penny from anyone, I have nothing left. The Chief Minister of the state has put vigilance behind me. They want to lock me in jail by any means.
Nephew Honey again in discussion
Former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s nephew, who was caught in the clutches of ED regarding the mining case, has now again come into the limelight. Channi’s nephew Honey is also now on the Chief Minister’s radar. Chief Minister mentions Honey in almost every public meeting. Now the new job in which he has been accused of asking for money, his name has also come in it.
Please inform that when Vigilance interrogated Channi, he was also asked about his nephew. Channi was also questioned about Rs 10 crore recovered from his nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey in the mining case. He was asked from where did Honey get 10 crores. On this Channi had replied to Vigilance ask Honey about it. Channi had told vigilance that he had nothing to do with Honey’s business.
