This is the news of the death of not just a woman, but of a society…and even more so of the entire humanity.
A woman suffering from cancer died on Sunday night. The husband and two innocent daughters kept crying sitting near the dead body for 21 hours. There was no relative to wipe away tears and no neighbor to shoulder.
Reason- 10 years ago, the Khap Panchayat had issued a decree and expelled the family from the society. The fear of the panchayat is such that even the neighbors or the people of the society far away, even close relatives did not come to join the grief. Till Monday evening, the husband along with two innocent daughters kept on shedding tears while sitting near the dead body. When a social organization came to know in the evening, its members came and got the woman cremated.
Kasanaram’s wife Kanya Devi was suffering from cancer for the last 14 months. Who died on Sunday night at 9 pm. After being boycotted from the society, the family was living in another village.
The case is of Mundara village of Sadri police station area in Bali of Pali district. The only fault of Kasanaram of Mundara was that he married Kanyadevi, a widowed woman. Kasanaram told that Kanya Devi was married to a youth resident of Tipri of Bali subdivision. who had died.
Kasanaram told that in 2012 I married him. Angered by this marriage, the Khap Panchayat expelled me and my family members from the society. Since then I have been living in Dungarli village. I put a cup of tea there.

Kanyadevi (45) died of cancer at around 9 pm on Sunday night. They have two daughters Raveena (8), Kajal (2). No one came to the relatives-neighbors due to fear of Khap Panchayat. Throughout the night and the whole day, Kasanaram would sometimes look after these two daughters and sometimes look towards the threshold of the house in the hope that someone would come to take care of him and his daughters, but no one came.

The father-in-law of the deceased Kanyadevi lives just 3 km away from Dugarli. At the same time, the Pehar of the deceased is also in Guda Kalyan Singh, only 6 km away. Kasanaram informed both the places, but no one came.
After being ostracized from the society, Kasanaram and his family are living in this house in Dungarli village. Kasanaram puts on a cup of tea.

When no one came till evening, Kasnaram, exhausted, informed Jitendra Singh Rathod, the convener of Saddi Eagle Rescue Team. He arrived with his team at 6 pm on Monday and performed the last rites by taking Kanya Devi’s body in an ambulance. Jitendra Singh’s daughter Jeevika and Kasanaram’s elder daughter Raveena lit the pyre at the cremation ground.

Jitendra Singh told that this family was ostracized from the society. Due to which no one came to Kisnaram, so his wife was cremated on behalf of the institution.
