Protests of SSC job seekers again broke out on the doorstep of the Chief Minister’s house

Once again, a protest of SSC job seekers broke out on the doorstep of the Chief Minister’s house. On Friday, job seekers tried to march towards the Chief Minister’s house from Hazra Junction in South Kolkata to protest. Once again, the police stopped the job seekers with all their might. Passengers were even taken off the bus to arrest protesters.

A group of young men and women started protesting at Hajra corner on Friday afternoon demanding speedy recruitment of job seekers on the waiting list. They tried to march towards the house of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while chanting slogans. Police barricade the protesters. After that, the job seekers started protesting by lying down at Hazra corner. The policemen dragged them to the prison van.

After a while, two prison vans parked there filled up. Even then, several youths were protesting in the streets. Police stopped a passenger bus to arrest them. The protesters were picked up from the bus in the name of the passengers.
