On Friday, protests, stone-pelting and violence were witnessed in states like Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Delhi over Nupur Sharma’s statement.
At the same time, taking action in this matter, BJP had suspended Nupur Sharma and expelled another leader Naveen Jindal from the party. Several FIRs have also been registered against Nupur Sharma in different states of the country.
