In Jharkhand, the properties of five ministers of former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das will now be investigated. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given this order on Tuesday, this investigation will be done by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB). In this regard, in the year 2020, RTI activist Pankaj Kumar Yadav filed a public interest litigation in the Jharkhand High Court. In the context of this petition, the CM has ordered an inquiry.

Yadav had alleged in the petition that former ministers Amar Kumar Bauri, Randhir Singh, Neera Yadav, Lewis Marandi and Neelkanth Singh Munda had acquired disproportionate assets. During his tenure, his wealth has increased by 200 to 1000 percent.

Former minister Bandhu Tirkey’s assets increased by 126%

It was said in the petition that first the investigation director of Income Tax and then ACB should get the matter investigated. The petitioner’s lawyer Rajiv Kumar said that the former minister Bandhu Tirkey’s assets were 126% more, so the government had sent him to jail in the disproportionate assets case after conducting an ACB investigation. The assets of these ministers are much more than them, so ACB investigation is necessary.

Case was also demanded against Raghuvar and Rajbala.
Pankaj Kumar Yadav had also reached ACB. He had demanded to register a case against many officers including former CM Raghuvar Das and the then Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma and Principal Secretary Sunil Varnwal. Then Pankaj had said that earlier Dewan Indranil Sinha had also filed a public interest litigation.

Hearing this, the court had asked the petitioner to file a complaint with the ACB. It was alleged in the petition that the budget of Mementum Jharkhand was 8.5 crores, which was increased to 100 crores. In the name of inviting investors, there were raids in many cities including London, Germany, Canada and America.

An agreement of Rs 1500 crore was signed with a company with a capital of Rs 1 lakh, which was registered just 39 days ago, to build an industrial park. Land bank land was distributed among fake companies.
