Priyanka Chopra re-shared the first photos from Meera Chopra and Rakshit Kejriwal’s wedding.

Actress Meera Chopra is the latest celebrity to get married this wedding season. The 40-year-old actress has tied the knot with Rakshit, her partner of three years. Her now-husband is a businessman. The couple had their destination wedding in Jaipur, between March 11–12, 2024. Now, her cousin Priyanka Chopra has congratulated her on social media.

Priyanka took to her Instagram Story on Thursday, March 14, and shared the first photos from Meera and Rakshit’s wedding. She wrote, “Congratulations. Here’s to forever. Lots of love.” In another story, Priyanka revealed that she will be travelling to Mumbai soon.

In the photos, Meera looked gorgeous in a red lehenga as she made her bridal entry at the mandap. Her groom, Rakshit, looked dapper in a white traditional ensemble. She looked beautiful and radiant as she smiled and had playful moments with Rakhit during their day wedding.

According to the invitation card that went viral earlier, the couple’s wedding rituals were set to take place at Buena Vista Luxury Garden Spa Resort in Jaipur. The mehendi function was scheduled for March 11, starting at 5 PM. Following this, on the same day at 7 PM, a sangeet and cocktail party were hosted for all their friends and family. The Haldi ceremony took place on March 12, beginning at 10 AM. Later, the Jaimala ceremony was scheduled for March 12 at 4:30 PM, followed by dinner and reception from 9 PM onwards.

Meera Chopra now joins a long list of celebrities who chose Rajasthan as their wedding destination. Her cousin Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas at the famous Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur in December 2018. Actor Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani got married at the Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer last year. Before that, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif got married at the Six Senses Fort Barwara, near Ranthambore, Rajasthan.

Meera Chopra began her journey in the entertainment industry with her debut in the Tamil film Anbe Aaruyire in 2005 alongside S. J. Surya. She then ventured into Telugu cinema with Bangaram and received praise for her performance in M. S. Raju’s romance drama film Vaana. Afterwards, she made her Bollywood debut in Vikram Bhatt’s 1920 London, starring alongside Sharman Joshi. She further displayed her talent in Satish Kaushik’s comedy-horror film Gang of Ghosts and Ajay Bahl’s crime drama film Section 375 alongside Richa Chadha and Akshaye Khanna.
