On Saturday, for the first time after the political ruckus in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot met Rahul Gandhi in Bellary, Karnataka. Gehlot, in a meeting with Rahul Gandhi, has given feedback on the political situation in Rajasthan and the party’s dispute.

According to sources, Gehlot has clarified on the whole episode of not passing the resolution to leave the right of selection of the new CM to the high command in the meeting of the legislature party on September 25. On September 21, Gehlot went to Kochi to convince Rahul for the post of President
Gehlot had earlier visited Kochi in Kerala on September 21 to prepare Rahul Gandhi to contest for the post of President. Rahul Gandhi had flatly refused at that time. After this, Gehlot himself had announced his nomination to contest for the post of President.
