Mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and younger brother Ashraf were murdered at Prayagraj’s Calvin Hospital. Earlier, Atiq’s son Asad Ahmed and his special henchman Ghulam were encountered. Now there are two more such names in this whole matter, for whom the police are searching everywhere.
The first name is Guddu Muslim, who is called Atiq’s right hand. There is another name – Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen. It is alleged that Shaista was also involved in planning the murder of Umesh Pal. Now Shaista’s husband, son and brother-in-law have died, but she is absconding.
There is now a reward of 50 thousand rupees on Shaista. The entire UP Police and STF are continuously following Shaista. The biggest challenge before the police right now is to find Shaista Parveen. How did Shaista become so cunning? Let’s know the whole story of his becoming most wanted.
Father was a police constable and a brother was a principal
Year 1972. Damupur village of Prayagraj. A baby girl was born at the house of police constable Farooq. Named Shaista Parveen. He has 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Shaista is the eldest among them. In a family of 8, the father was the only earning member. Somehow, by working hard, he used to get all his children educated.
Since childhood, Shaista lived with her father in the government police quarters built in police stations. His childhood and later years were spent in Pratapgarh. It was here that he completed a lot of his studies. His siblings also studied together. One of his two brothers also became the principal of the madrassa.
Atiq Ahmed is 9th pass and Shaista graduate
Shaista is more educated than her husband Atiq Ahmed. He has done graduation.
Atiq’s father used to run a tonga. There was less money in the house but he paid full attention to the education of all his children. But Atiq didn’t feel like reading at all. The result was that he failed in 10th. After this he left the studies completely. On the other hand Shaista was good in studies. He has done graduation. After studies, she also looked after the household chores.
Shaista married Atiq at the age of 24.
Year 1996. Shaista was now 24 years old. At this time, apart from crime, Atik had also become a big name in the world of politics. Shaista’s family took the relationship to Atiq’s family. Both the families were already known to each other.
Shaista was quick to talk. Along with this, she was more educated than Atiq. It was Atiq who accepted the relationship. Both got married in the month of August. Atiq and Shaista have a total of 5 children. The eldest son Umar, then Ali, Asad, Azham and Aban. Assad has had an encounter in this. While Umar and Ali are in jail, Azham and Aban are in a reform home.
When married to Shaista, Atiq had become an MLA for four times, in the years 1989, 1991, 1993, 1996. After this, in the year 2002, he was elected MLA for the 5th time from the city western seat. At the same time, in 2004, the MP was also elected from Phulpur parliamentary seat.
Atik used to commit crimes but Shaista was away from this world.
Atiq gradually became a big leader but he could never come out of his mafia image. Rather, after becoming a leader, the speed of his crimes increased further. Brother Ashraf also supported Atiq at every step. But Shaista’s name had not come up in any crime related to Atiq till now.
Atiq’s crime graph was continuously increasing. In 2005, the Raju Pal murder case attracted the attention of the whole country towards Ateeq-Ashraf. It was from here that Atiq’s bad days started. In 2007, there was a change of power in the state and the BSP government was formed. The then CM Mayawati started action and arrested Atiq and Ashraf and sent them to jail. At that time Atiq Ahmed was the MP.
Atiq went to jail, sons were small, so Shaista took command
Shaista decided to join politics after her husband Atiq was sent to jail.
When the government changed in 2012, Atiq came out of jail. When the SP government was formed, the same enthusiasm started appearing again. In 2014, the SP fielded him from Shravasti, but he lost. In 2016, when there was a dispute with Akhilesh Yadav, he cut the ticket. When the BJP government was formed in 2017, Atiq’s bad days started again. At that time the age of the elder son was about 18 years.
In 2018, Atiq decided to contest the Phulpur Lok Sabha by-election from jail itself. Then for the first time Shaista Parveen came out of the house for campaigning. Shaista had put the command of the campaign in the hands of her elder son Umar. He used to give speech in every meeting from Lalgopalganj to Phulpur. However Ateeq lost the election. The son was later accused of kidnapping and beating up the builder in jail. The son ran away. The police made a reward of 2 lakhs. He surrendered in the court on 31 July 2022. He is currently lodged in Lucknow jail.
Atiq and Ashraf were already in jail. After Umar went to jail, Atiq’s influence started decreasing. After this, the entire family of Atiq decided to enter politics. In the year 2021, the family joined Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM. It was felt that Shaista would be made a candidate in the 2022 assembly elections.
But before that, on December 31, 2021, Atiq’s second son Ali was accused of demanding extortion of 5 crores from a relative. Ali absconded to avoid the police. After which the family postponed the decision to contest the elections. Ali surrendered in the court last year. He is currently lodged in Naini Central Jail.
Atiq’s two sons were put in jail. The other three sons were still very young. That’s why the political ground of the mafia started weakening gradually. Therefore, reluctantly, in the year 2023, Shaista decided to handle the entire politics of Atiq. But he does not know that this year will prove to be his death.
Shaista wanted to become a skilled leader from a domestic woman
Shaista took membership of Mayawati’s party BSP on 5 January 2023 in Prayagraj. After this, she started preparing for the mayoral candidature from BSP ticket. Shaista was hopeful that she would become the mayor of Prayagraj on BSP ticket. He had also started campaigning.
Shaista had now turned from a housewife to an efficient leader. After taking membership of BSP, Shaista Parveen also gave a speech, in which she was addressing the public like a skilled leader. Many people had also praised Shaista after her speech. Then Shaista had said that her entire family has always been with Behenji i.e. Mayawati and she had said that justice would be done to her.
…But Umesh Pal was killed before Shaista could contest the mayoral election on a BSP ticket.

Shaista’s involvement with Atiq Ahmed’s son was also said in the murder of Umesh Pal. It is alleged that Shaista had helped in planning the murder of Umesh Pal. According to media reports and police statements, the murder of Umesh Pal was initiated by Shaista. First of all she went to meet Ateeq in Sabarmati Jail. There was talk of killing Umesh Pal between Atiq and him.
After the conversation, Atiq asked Shaista to deliver a phone to the jail itself. Atiq had also told the name of a policeman to deliver the phone to the jail. Through which Shaista had sent the phone to Atiq only after a few days. Now through the same phone, Atiq started helping Shaista in planning the murder.
Shaista did not want to involve Asad in Umesh murder case
On one side, Shaista was sitting outside doing all the planning. On the other hand, Atiq was engaged in mobilizing shooters from inside the jail. Within a few days, the entire planning of the massacre was done. It was also told in the media reports that the shooters who appeared in the CCTV footage in the Umesh Pal murder case had met Shaista a few days ago.
When everything was finalized, Atiq spoke to Shaista on the phone. Asad’s role in the whole matter was also explained. Shaista opposed Atiq on this. He said that Assad should not be included in this whole incident. But at the same time Atiq had said that Asad is the son of a lion. After this, it was Assad who carried out the entire massacre.
Shaista is more cunning than Atiq Ahmed
Zeeshan, a property dealer who was a victim of Atiq Ahmed’s terror, made a big disclosure about Shaista a few days back. He said that if Atiq Ahmed is dreaded, then his wife Shaista Parveen is no less. He is very clever. Apart from collecting extortion herself, she threatens people. Not only this, those who do not listen to her, she also tortures them with the help of operatives.
As of now, Shaista is missing. When the son’s encounter happened, it was felt that Shaista would come to the funeral. But did not come. When husband and brother-in-law died, it seemed that she would come forward now, but even then she did not come forward. The police has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 to those who reveal Shaista’s address.
