The police-administration is being accused of suppressing the matter due to the way Mohali police denied leaking videos of girls bathing from Chandigarh University (CU) within a few hours. Mohali SSP Viveksheel Soni claimed that the girl had only sent her video before the accused girl’s boyfriend was taken into custody for custodial interrogation or checking his mobile phone. No video of any other girl was sent.

The Mohali SSP claimed that in the initial investigation, the police found only one video from the mobile phone of the accused girl, which was her own. The police have seized the girl’s mobile phone and sent it to the cyber cell for investigation. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, IG of Ropar range of Punjab Police, who reached Chandigarh University, was also seen speaking on the line of Mohali SSP.

On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his tweet talked about making videos of many girl students viral.

In the midst of this entire controversy, the leaders of the student wing of the Congress Party- NSUI, who reached CU, alleged that the voice of the girls was being suppressed. Police is trying to suppress the incident. Earlier, the students of the university had also talked about pressing the matter in front of the police officers who reached CU after the uproar late on Saturday night.

CM orders high level inquiry
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also expressed grief over the Chandigarh University incident. Mann wrote in the tweet that this incident is sad. Daughters are our pride. A high level inquiry has been ordered into the incident. Strict action will be taken against whoever is guilty in this case.
