In Delhi, the police dragged and arrested the students who were demanding extra attempts for the UPSC exam. According to media reports, students have been protesting in Old Rajinder Nagar area for the last two days for their demands.

The protesting students said that due to Kovid, they could not qualify the previous attempt. Some students said that SSC (GD) and Agniveer candidates have been given a chance to give multiple attempts in view of Kovid. If students have been given a chance for these exams, then students doing UPSC should also be given a chance.

Police arrested the students who were protesting for their demands for the last two days.

2 extra attempts and increase the age limit
Students said that we are doing a peaceful protest. Our demand is that we should be given two extra attempts and two years relaxation in age limit. Has Covid not affected UPSC aspirants? If the government can try to lift MSMEs and waive off loans, why can’t it give us some relaxation? We had dreams, which have been burnt to ashes during the pandemic.
