Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big statement amid the poster controversy on Goddess Kali. He said that Maa Kali is the center of devotion of the whole of India. May his blessings be with the country. This is the first statement of the Prime Minister amid the ongoing controversy over the poster of Maa Kali in the country.
The Prime Minister was addressing the birth anniversary program of Swami Atmasthananda through video conferencing. He mentioned Belur Math. Said- Whenever I had to go there, the temple of Maa Kali was visible from afar, sitting on the banks of the Ganges. Then a natural attachment was formed.

Maa Kali’s infinite blessings always with India
PM Modi further said- When faith is so pure, then power directly guides us. The infinite blessings of Maa Kali are always with India. Today India is moving ahead with the spirit of world welfare with this spiritual energy.
Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa had a candid interview of Maa Kali. He used to say – this whole world, this variable and constant, everything is pervaded by the consciousness of the mother. This consciousness is seen in the Kali Puja of Bengal. This consciousness is seen in the faith of Bengal and the whole of India.
Amit Malviya targeted TMC
After this statement of Prime Minister Modi, BJP IT cell in-charge Amit Malviya has targeted Mamta Banerjee by tweeting. He said that PM Modi spoke devotionally about Maa Kali, how she is the center of reverence not only for Bengal but for the whole of India. FIR against Leena Manimekalai, lookout circular also issued
Actually, director Leena Manimekalai shared the poster of her documentary Kaali a few days back. In this, Kali is shown smoking a cigarette. Controversy has started across the country after this poster surfaced.
He had made another post in which Shiva and Parvati were also shown smoking cigarettes went. However, this picture was not associated with his film. Cases have been registered against Leena in many states. Along with this, Twitter has also demanded to block his account. FIR registered in Uttarakhand
An FIR has also been registered against Leena Manimekalai and 10 others in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Vikram Singh Rathore of Hindu Yuva Vahini has lodged an FIR at Kanakal police station in the matter of hurting religious sentiments by posters from the film Kali.
The 11 people against whom the complaint has been filed include the crew of the film including Leena Manimekalai, associate producer Asha Ponnachan, co-writer and editor Shravan.
Organizers apologize, screening also stopped
Seeing the growing controversy in this matter, the Ministry of External Affairs had also issued a statement. After this, the organizers associated with the screening of the film in Ottawa, Canada apologized. He had also stopped the screening of the film.
