PM Narendra Modi inaugurating Sabar Dairy Plant.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Himmatnagar this afternoon on his two-day visit to Gujarat. He inaugurated Rs 305 crore milk powder plant of Sabarkantha District Co-operative Milk Producers Association (Sabar Dairy) near Himmatnagar. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of several projects worth 1000 crores of Sabar Dairy.

The inauguration and foundation stone of new dairy plants in Gujarat will help in increasing the capacity of the cattle farmers of Gujarat. I heartily congratulate Sabar Dairy and all the people associated with this movement. The PM further said that whenever there is talk of Sabar Dairy, it is not complete without remembering Bhurabhai. The effort started by Bhurabhai Patel decades ago is helping transform the lives of millions today. Coming here at Sabarkantha does not seem like anything new, because something new is happening here every day. There will hardly be any part of Sabarkantha that I have not been to.

Kisan Credit Cards given to more than 3 crore farmers
The Prime Minister further said that today the dairy industry in Gujarat has reached one lakh crore. Today women are running the dairy, the production of honey has doubled. Efforts are being made by the central government to increase the income of the farmers. He further said that more than 3 crore farmers have been given Kisan Credit Cards by the Central Government.

Sabar Dairy has a capacity of 1.20 lakh tonnes. The PMO had tweeted that this plant with almost zero emissions consumes very little energy. The plant is equipped with the latest and fully automatic bulk packing line.

Foundation stone of whey drying plant project also laid
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Saber Cheese and Whey Drying Plant Project. The estimated outlay of the project is around Rs 600 crore. The plant will manufacture Cheddar Cheese (20 MTPD), Mozzarella Cheese (10 MTPD) and Processed Cheese (16 MTPD). The whey generated during the manufacturing of paneer will also be dried in a whey drying plant with a capacity of 40 MTPD.

Will visit the International Financial Services Center
Gujarat Minister and Spokesperson Jitu Vaghani had told that PM Modi will visit India’s first International Financial Services Center (IFSC) at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (Gift City) on the second day of the tour i.e. on 29th July. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the International Bullion Exchange of India (IIBX), which is the country’s first international bullion exchange. Apart from this, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the headquarters of the Integrated Regulatory International Financial Services Center Authority.

Will go to Tamil Nadu tomorrow
Significantly, PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. On July 29, he will go where he will announce the opening of the 44th Chess Olympiad at the JLN Indoor Stadium here at around 6 pm. Along with this, PM will participate in the 42nd convocation of Anna University.
