Amidst a political rally in Tamil Nadu’s Salem, Prime Minister Narendra Modi got emotional while remembering ‘auditor’ Ramesh during his speech.

While addressing the crowd, PM Modi paused for a while and said, “Unfortunately, Ramesh is not among us. He has worked hard for the party and he was a good orator. But, he was killed.”

Ramesh, an auditor by profession, was hacked to death near his house in July 2013. The 52-year-old Ramesh alias Auditor Ramesh was attacked with sharp-edged weapons and he died on the spot.

He was the General Secretary of BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit and was killed by unidentified assailants.

During his speech, the Prime Minister also paid tributes to the late BJP leader KN Lakshmanan and recalled his contributions for the saffron party’s growth in Tamil Nadu.
