In this, a man is walking on the road with a loaded air gun for the safety of children. On the other hand, the Chief Minister of Kerala says that killing dogs is not the solution to the problem, for this a scientific solution is needed.

It is seen in the video that a man along with some students is seen moving forward with an air gun in his hand. He is loudly saying that if any stray dog tries to attack the children it will be shot. The person has been identified as Sameer T, a resident of Bekal in Pallikere Panchayat. This video was shot by Sameer’s son and shared on social media.

Daughter refuses to go to madrasa for fear of dogs
Sameer T told that his 9-year-old daughter Rifa Sultana refused to go to the madrasa on Thursday morning due to the fear of stray dogs. The madrasa is 60 meters away from the house and there are a lot of stray dogs in the area. Other children in the locality also said that they were afraid to go out. After this, he took the air gun and went to drop the children to the madrasa.

Sameer told that no license is needed to carry the air gun and the dogs run away after hearing its sound. He said- I want people and officials to realize the seriousness of the problem by watching the video. Following this incident, the madrasa has decided that parents should not send their children for classes alone. After the video went viral, the Bakal police registered a case against Sameer under section 153A.

CM Vijayan said – killing dogs is not the solution to the problem
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday said that the problem of stray dogs cannot be solved by killing dogs. To overcome this problem, the scientific solution implemented by the government needs the support of the general public. We need to work together to solve this crisis.

The CM said that so far this year there were 21 deaths due to rabies in the state.

He said that the government is implementing a planned solution for this. People should remember that beating, poisoning and tying dogs on the streets will not solve this problem. People should not even leave their pet dog on the road. The CM said that so far this year there have been 21 deaths due to rabies in the state, out of which 15 did not get the Anti-Rabies Vaccine (IDRV) and Immunoglobulin (ERIG). One was partially vaccinated and five were fully vaccinated.
