The makers of Kabir Khan‘s ’83’ hosted a special screening of the film in the city that was attended by the entire cast of the film along with their friends and family. Deepika Padukone who is playing the role of Kapil Dev‘s wife, Romi Dev, in the film made a stunning appearance on the red carpet. The actress made heads turn at the event as she wore a flowy off-shoulder gown teamed with a diamond necklace. She was all smiles as the paparazzi clicked her pictures.
Meanwhile, Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh who will be essaying the role of Kapil Dev opted for a 3-piece white suit paired with a black bowtie for the occasion. The couple also posed together for the shutterbugs at the event.
Several Bollywood and former cricketers attend the screening of ’83’. The film is based on the Indian Cricket Team’s iconic world cup win in the year 1983. Apart from Ranveer and Deepika, the film stars Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa and R Badree. The film has been slated to release in theatres this Friday.
