‘Period Film Directed By Sanjay Leela Bhansali…’: Sara Ali Khan Talks About Her Dream Roles

New Delhi: Sara Ali Khan talked about the roles she intends to play in her professional life while making an appearance as a guest speaker at the Representing the New Gen session of the second ABP Network Ideas of India event. In a fairly limited five-year period, the actor has appeared in a broad range of film genres.

Sara recently shared her wish to collaborate with content-driven filmmakers who are currently working in the industry when asked about her dream role during the live show event.

“Honestly, I want to do various kinds of films. An urban young girl directed by Zoya Akhtar, an emotional family drama directed by Karan Johar, or a period film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I mean, I want to do everything,” she said.

During the event, the actor also spoke about the nepotism debate. Sara stated that she did not choose this life, but added that she does not want to escape from her identity.

“Jo Cheesein hum control nahi kar sakte, unke baare mein zyada socha, charcha karna, ya gaur karna bilkul faydemand nahi hai. Ab main badal nahi shakti ki mere mata pita kon hai. I will try my best to make my life my own. Par main bhaag nahi sakti apne naam se aur bhaagna chahti bhi nahi hun. Bas ye trysh hai ki logon ko mera kaam acha lage aur w mujhe eventually ek individual ke naat bhi dekh (We should not think about, discuss, or pay attention to things that we can’t control. This is not beneficial. I can’t change who my parents are. I will try to develop my individual identity. I can’t run away from my name, and I don’t even want to. I just want people to like my work and eventually see me as an individual),” Sara Ali Khan said.

On the work front, Sara Ali Khan will be next seen in ‘Gaslight’ opposite Vikrant Massey, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ and Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro.. Inn Dino’ this year.
