There is an increasing trend of people in the country to seek legal advice. A report of the Central Government has come, in which it has been told that people of UP, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and MP are ahead in the matter of seeking legal advice. These include students from the age of 80 to the elderly. In order to make people aware of the law, a tele law scheme was started by the central government in 2017. Under this, free legal advice is given.

App designed to give legal advice
To connect people with this scheme, 75 thousand panchayats of the country have been connected. An app named ‘Tele Law’ has been created, through which people are also taking online advice. More than 20 lakh people have sought legal advice in the last 5 years. Most of the people sought legal advice regarding benefits of government schemes, property disputes, domestic violence, quarrels, school-college ragging etc.

3 great examples of seeking advice

After staying in Dubai after the visa expired, the police there arrested Daler Singh and sent him to jail. After getting information from a youth of the village, his wife Mamta took legal advice on the Tele Law app. Based on this, Mamta approached the Ministry of External Affairs. Following the action of the ministry, Daler Singh was released from jail within a week. Daler Singh came to India and lodged a complaint with the police and the police took action against the agents.
