Pay 10 taka to get on the bus? Giving more every day, know what the government said in the affidavit?

There is no official news of bus fare hike. But still 10 taka to get on the bus. This is the unwritten rule. Passengers are also paying for it. Protests are occasional. However, they do not withstand special washing. Bus conductors say that the fares are actually being charged slightly higher due to the rise in oil prices. But where did the pen in the ledger? A public interest case was filed in the High Court raising the question of this irregularity. And in that case, the transport department was asked to give an affidavit. It was also requested that no additional rent be charged. On the other hand, it has been stated in the affidavit of the department that it will be ensured that no additional rent is charged.

In fact, there is extreme confusion among the passengers about the average fare of private buses. Many of the passengers took out 10 taka on boarding the bus. Somewhere again this is 12 rupees. And if the distance increases, the fare increases by 14 rupees. But how much is the rent in reality?

According to sources, the bus owners made a strong demand for fare increase at the end of last year. They also discussed it with the then Transport Minister Firhad Hakim. They claimed that as the price of petrol and diesel is increasing, it is not possible to run buses without increasing the fare. But even then the government did not increase the rent. The bus owners again approached Environment Minister Snehashis Chakraborty. But still the minister did not want to increase the rent. But the question is how the rent increases?

Every day there is an argument between the passengers and the conductor. Somewhere again the whole body has been destroyed. However, the government has said that the bus fare will not be increased. The fixed fare of 4 years ago will be charged from the passengers. It was informed by the government through the affidavit of the court.

Some of the passengers claim that private bus fares are charged illegally. Rules are not obeyed. The minimum fare of private bus is actually 7 Tk. Minimum fare of mini bus is Rs.8. The government has clarified that rent has been charged without following the guidelines. It is illegal to charge 10 rupees as rent. Strict action will be taken if anyone complains about it. The district administration and the district police are also informed about it.
