Ustaad Bhagat Singh teaser features a glass tumbler, which is the symbol for Jana Sena Political Party.

Telugu superstar and politician Pawan Kalyan is creating a buzz in the entertainment industry with his upcoming action movie, Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The film is written and directed by Harish Shankar. Actress Sreeleela will be playing the role of the lead actress in the movie. The makers have recently released the teaser of the movie and have titled it Bhagat’s Blaze on YouTube. The teaser has gone viral. After hitting millions of views in two days, the film teaser has now come under the radar of the Election Commission for allegedly using Jana Sena Party’s symbol. Pawan Kalyan is the President of Jana Sena Political Party. It was founded by him in 2014. With the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in the background, a specific scene in the recently released teaser of Ustaad Bhagat Singh hints at the promotion of his political party Jana Sena.

In an action-packed teaser, after a goon breaks a tea glass tumbler, that makes Pawan Kalyan furious. In the video, he picks up a piece of tea glass and says, “The glass does not represent our size, it represents our army. An invisible army”. Coincidentally, the glass tumbler is also the political symbol of the Jana Sena Party. In such a situation, the opposition has alleged that the election symbol of a political party is prominently shown, which is an election violation.

On this matter, the Andhra Chief Electoral Officer, Mukesh Kumar Meena said in a statement that he has now watched the teaser yet and will be unable to comment on this controversy. “Holding up a tea glass for advertisement would be considered a political advertisement. You can do political ads like this. There is no restriction on that. However, prior approval is required for such advertisements,” he added. The Election Commission is set to review the teaser.

“If it is a political advertisement, we will give a notice to the film crew. They should apply for pre-certification,” stated Mukesh Kumar Meena.
