Passenger Urinates And Defecates On Mumbai-Delhi Air India Flight, Arrested

Officials said a guy aboard a Mumbai-Delhi Air India flight was arrested at the airport for reportedly defecating and urinating in the aircraft. According to the FIR submitted by the flight captain at the IGI Airport police station in Delhi, on June 24, Air India’s Flight AIC 866 from Mumbai to Delhi was in the air when a passenger on seat no. 17F defecated, urinated, and spat in the aircraft in row 9 DEF, news agency ANI reported.

The FIR further alleged that the cabin staff saw the wrongdoing and that a verbal warning was issued by the flight’s cabin supervisor. The flight captain was later apprised about the incident.

According to the FIR filed following the event, a message was promptly sent to the firm, and airport security was ordered to escort the passenger upon arrival. According to the complaint, several passengers were enraged and irritated by the wrongdoing, and when the plane landed in Delhi, the chief of Air India security went to the accused passenger and led him to the IGI Airport police station. The suspected passenger is an African cook.

On June 24, he boarded Air India aircraft AIC 866 bound for Mumbai.

Speaking with ANI, a senior offical of Delhi Police said: “On the complaint of the flight captain, Delhi Police registered a case — u/s 294/510 — at IGI police station and arrested the accused passenger. We produced him before a court which granted him bail. Further investigation is underway.”

Earlier today, after making an emergency landing at Jaipur airport owing to poor weather, the pilots of an Air India aircraft from London refused to proceed any farther. Around 350 passengers were kept stranded for almost three hours, forcing them to seek alternative travel plans to reach Delhi. The AI-112 flight was supposed to arrive in Delhi at 4 a.m. on Sunday but was diverted to Jaipur due to severe weather over the area near Delhi.
