Panipat: Dog picked up a two-day-old newborn from a private hospital, thrashed it to death, mother fainted

In a private hospital located in Panipat Sector 13-17, at around 2.15 pm on Monday night, a dog thrashed a two-day-old newborn to death. The dog had brought the newborn down from the first floor. The dead body of the newborn was found mutilated. The relatives have accused the hospital of negligence. At the same time, the body has been kept in the mortuary of the General Hospital for post-mortem.

Shabnam’s wife Aas Mohammad, a resident of Forgan in Kairana, UP, was admitted for delivery on June 25 in a hospital located in Sector 13-17 of Panipat. Shabnam gave birth to a boy the same night at 8:15. She was admitted in a room in the general ward on the first floor of the hospital. According to the family members, mother, father, grandmother and tai were also present along with the child in the room on Monday night. Shabnam was sleeping on the bed, the rest on the floor below. To feed, the grandmother made the newborn lie down on the floor next to her. When his eyes opened for a quarter of a night, the newborn was not found. There was a stampede in the hospital. As soon as he reached outside the hospital running, the newborn was in the mouth of a dog. The dog was biting the child. The family members somehow rescued the child from the dog and immediately took him to the hospital. The doctors declared him brought dead.

Mother fainted after hearing the child dead

On hearing the dead word from the doctor’s mouth, the ground slipped under the feet of the family members. There was screaming in the hospital premises. When the mother got the information, she fainted. At the same time, the relatives of the deceased raised security related questions at the hospital.

On checking the CCTV footage, a dog is seen taking the child out of the hospital at 2.07 pm. The child’s body was taken to the Civil Hospital, where it has been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem.
