Pakistan has considered the intruder killed on the India-Pakistan border as its citizen. After the flag meeting, BSF officials handed over the body to the Pakistan Rangers on Thursday. The intruder was killed on October 28 near Sherpura post at Anupgarh in Sriganganagar.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Jaydev Siyag said that on October 28, the BSF had killed Pakistani infiltrators near Sherpura post when they entered the Indian border. Flag meeting was held with Pakistan regarding the infiltrator. Pak Rangers had asked BSF officials for the photo of the intruder for identification. After investigation, Pakistan admitted that the infiltrator Muneeb Asif was a resident of Chak 269 in Bahawalnagar, Pakistan. After this he agreed to take the dead body.

After the flag meeting, BSF officials handed over the body to the Pakistan Rangers.

Pakistan has refused many times before
Even before this, infiltrators from Pakistan have entered the Indian border. In many cases infiltrators were killed, but Pakistan never agreed to accept them as its citizens. Pakistan Rangers have been refusing to accept the dead body. BSF and police officials laid wreath before handing over the body.
