Owaisi MLAs ran away in Bihar: RJD became the largest party, BJP would not be able to play even if it parted ways with Nitish

There was a big political upheaval in Bihar on Wednesday afternoon. Four out of five MLAs of Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) switched sides and joined RJD. After this Lalu’s party has become the number one party in the assembly.

Tejashwi Yadav himself took the four MLAs Shahnawaz, Izhar, Anjar Nayani and Syed Rukundin to the chamber of Speaker Vijay Sinha by driving the car. He then submitted his letter of support. Let me tell you, now only its state president and MLA Akhtarul Iman is left in AIMIM.

However, this breakdown will not affect the Nitish government. The support of 122 MLAs is necessary to form the government in the state. NDA currently has 127 MLAs. BJP (77 MLA) and JDU (45 MLA) together have 122 MLAs. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM also has the support of 4 and one independent MLA, even if he withdraws, the government is completely safe.

Owaisi’s party did a great performance
AIMIM had fielded candidates on 24 seats in the assembly elections. A coalition of six parties including Upendra Kushwaha’s RLSP, Bahujan Samaj Party was formed. He tried to make the political atmosphere in his favor by holding fast rallies in Seemanchal. The result was also spectacular, with 5 out of 16 candidates from Seemanchal winning.

Let us inform, Owaisi’s party had won the state for the first time after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, performing brilliantly in the by-elections held in Kishanganj assembly seat. However, in the 2015 assembly elections also, he has fielded candidates on 6 seats, but did not get success at that time.

The people who have left our party are Mir Jafar. The people of Seemanchal had chosen him to fight for their justice, but they have betrayed Seemanchal. Now the people of Seemanchal will teach them a lesson.

The five seats the AIMIM had won are Amour, Kochadham, Jokihat, Bayasi and Bahadurganj. Apart from this, there were many seats where the RJD-led Grand Alliance had suffered huge losses due to AIMIM and had to face defeat in about 11 seats.

RJD got 75 seats in the assembly elections
In the assembly elections-2020, RJD became the number one party by winning 75 seats. After the BJP’s defeat in the Bochaha by-election, its number had gone up to 76. Now with the joining of four MLAs of Owaisi’s party, its number has reached 80.

After this political upheaval, spokesperson Chittaranjan Gagan said, ‘In the present situation, only RJD can fight the fight of common people under the leadership of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav.’ RJD MLA Anant Singh has been sentenced to 10 years, but his legislature has not gone yet. Even if his legislature is gone, RJD will remain the single largest party.

BJP will not be able to play with the help of Governor
Right now everything is not going well in Bihar NDA. The leaders of Nitish Kumar’s party JDU and BJP are attackers on each other. Sometimes on the issue of education and sometimes on Agneepath and Population Control Act. On Tuesday, this displeasure increased so much that in the second session of the monsoon session, JDU MLAs did not even go to the house. After this, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan came hurriedly from Delhi in the afternoon and met Nitish Kumar. After this, after holding a press conference, said that everything will be fine in NDA.

In such a situation, RJD becoming the largest party inside the assembly indicates a lot. If both Nitish and BJP part ways in the future, then the governor will have to call the single largest party. In such a situation, even if BJP wants to play with the help of the Governor, it will not be able to do it.

At the time of the assembly elections, the BJP was at number two with the victory of 74 MLAs. The difference of just one seat was between the BJP and the RJD. At the same time, on 22 March 2022, all the three MLAs of Vikas Insaan Party (VIP), Raju Singh, Swarna Singh and Mishri Lal Yadav, who were in the NDA government, left the party. He had submitted his letter of support in favor of BJP to the Speaker of the Assembly, Vijay Sinha. After this, for the first time in the Bihar Assembly, BJP had become the number one party with 77 MLAs, which could last only three and a half months.
