Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal met Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai on Monday. In this meeting, both talked about opposition unity and the alleged misuse of central agencies by the BJP. Venugopal said that the opposition will together fight against the dictatorship of Narendra Modi.
Uddhav Thackeray agreed with KC Venugopal and said that everyone has their own ideology, but right now their fight is to save the Constitution. He said that when we maintain friendship, it is not friendship, it is a relationship. We supported BJP for 25 years, but they did not understand who is friend and who is enemy.
Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and NCP chief Sharad Pawar last week over opposition unity. Two Bihar leaders also met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on the same issue.
I have brought the message of Congress – Venugopal
After the meeting, Venugopal said that I had come here to meet Uddhavji and give him the message of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. His message is very clear – in the current political situation in India and Maharashtra, Uddhavji is fighting the forces working against democracy. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have completely destroyed democracy. ED and CBI are being used to target other parties including Uddhav ji’s party.

Venugopal said that there may be differences between us, there may be difference in ideology of Congress, Sena and NCP, but at present the country is facing great difficulties. We had never seen such difficulties before. So we discussed all these issues and came to the conclusion that together we have to fight against these people. Venugopal also informed that Rahul Gandhi will meet Uddhav Thackeray soon and the army chief will also visit Delhi soon.
Ajay Maken had said – do not have sympathy for Kejriwal
BJP has many times targeted the opposition for the fact that despite having differences and enmity in many cases, the opposition is trying to come together.
